Board of Management & School Vision
Board of Management
The Board of Management manages the school on behalf of the patron and is accountable to the patron and the Minister. The Board must uphold the characteristic spirit (ethos) of the school and is accountable to the patron for so doing. The principal is responsible for the day-to-day management of the school, including providing guidance and direction to the teachers and other staff of the school and is accountable to the Board for that management.

Our Vision
Gaelscoil Mhic Amhlaigh is a co-educational, all Irish, Catholic Primary school under the Patronage of the Bishop of Galway, a school which nurtures a stimulating, welcoming, trusting, open, respectful, positive and co-operative educational environment for all. We endeavour to have our school to be a place where there is an emphasis on the physical, intellectual, spiritual, emotional, social, cultural and moral development of each individual child. This we envisage occurring in an atmosphere of mutual respect where all members of the school community feel happy and secure working in a spirit of encouragement and enthusiasm while recognising and celebrating diversity.
We envisage an atmosphere of Irish Cultural awareness which will enhance the learning and the work ethic of all who work in our school. As a staff we are committed to creating a working environment for all which is open, co-operative, honest and generous. Our vision would be that each person through positive learning experiences will be stimulated to achieve his/her full potential, face life confidently, find fulfilment and be respectful in an ever changing world.
