Rang 6 were fortunate again this year to have a wonderful Chinese teacher come into our school to teach us about the Chinese language and culture. We had great fun learning about the Chinese calendar, special lucky numbers, Chinese calligraphy and art. We, of course, also learned how to have a conversation in Chinese. This is a wonderful learning experience for the children and it gave them an insight into another culture, language and writing style. The children will be studying additional foreign languages in secondary school next year and they will be able to add to and develop the linguistic skills that they have developed this year.
